Sensory Sensitive Movie SeriesThe Village Theater at Cherry Hill is pleased to announce the launch of a monthly Sensory Sensitive Movie Series starting on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. with a special showing of the movie COCO (Rated PG). The Sensory Sensitive Movie Series will feature films with the sound turned down and the lights turned up to provide a comfortable viewing environment. Reduced capacity shows will allow for more space for moviegoers to walk around, sing, shout, dance, clap and talk. A limited number of weighted lap blankets, headphones and fidget devices will also be available for checkout during your visit. Canton Leisure Services, including the Village Theater, has received Sensory Inclusive Certification from KultureCity, a leading non-profit organization committed to creating more inclusive communities nationwide. Art & Yoga WorkshopSeptember 18, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Village Theater at Cherry Hill Join us for a yoga journey surrounded by art and peace. Experience yoga through a different perspective in the unique environment of the Village Theater’s beautiful Art Gallery.
Our gallery yoga session will include art therapy coloring, meditation, hatha yoga & yin stretching. Through a combination of aromatherapy, the calming sounds of tranquil music, gentle movement & meditation, participants will de-stress, relax and concentrate on their well-being! Free Spa Infused drinks & a selection of fruits will also be provided. This hour-long gallery yoga session will be led by Natalie Cooper. Perfect session for all levels. Water bottles with secure lids will be allowed in the gallery during class. This class is appropriate for ages 18 and over. All supplies/materials will be provided. Audience members of all ages will enjoy this special fundraiser to benefit the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome reception that will include sample-size appetizers from local restaurants. Then, at 8:00 p.m., Comedy Hypnotist Greg Steele, who has mesmerized audiences for over 20 years, will take the stage providing a fun interactive experience with more laughs than a stand up comic. Audience members become the real stars of the show as they are invited to be hypnotized by Greg Steele, an honoree recipient of a 2013 Comedy Hypnotist Entertainment Award. Rated G.
