Butterfly Ball

Annual Butterfly Ball Returns

Back by popular demand, Canton’s Valentine’s tradition returns on February 9 and 10 to the Summit on the Park, offering a unique experience and plenty of special memories! Dads and daughters can enjoy an evening of dancing, refreshments, a special butterfly souvenir, and the popular balloon drop that caps off the festivities.

Choose from three dances: February 9 at 6 p.m.; and February 10 at 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. Semiformal or dressy-casual attire is recommended. Please note that no corsage pre-sales will be available. Ticket sales end on February 1 and each participant is required to have a ticket for entry. Tickets are available at the Summit on the Park front desk for just $11 for residents and $14 for non-residents. These dances traditionally sell out, so be sure to purchase tickets early. Summit New Year Membership Special Still Available

Off-Season Markets Coming Soon to the Summit on the Park's Banquet Lobby

The first of three monthly Winter Markets will be held on Sunday, February 25 in the Summit on the Park Banquet lobby, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. Markets are also scheduled for March 25 and April 22 at the Summit; all with special winter market hours from 10 am - 2 pm. Several local vendors will be featured at the Market, including a variety of returning favorites.

Michigan goods available include: baked goods, artisan cheese and bread, frozen and dried pastas, hoop-house grown produce and more. Check here for the latest information, as well as www.facebook.com/cantonfarmersmarket.

Central Park Experience featuring
Old Friends:  A Simon & Garfunkel Tribute
January 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Experience the Simon and Garfunkel nine-piece cover band as The Village Theater is magically transformed into Central Park to transport you back to 1981. The Central Park Experience, featuring Old Friends: A Simon and Garfunkel Tribute, will invite audience members to purchase themed-food and participate in lobby activities in a cover-band event like you’ve never experienced before. Tickets are available online now for $20-$30.  
Canton Celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 
January 15 -  Reception at 6 p.m. and Program at 6:30 p.m. 

The Canton community will once again honor the memory and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with a special tribute on Monday, January 15, 2018, at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill. The public is invited to attend a punch and cookie reception to begin at 6 p.m., and the main program at 6:30 p.m. This year’s key note speaker will be Dr. Doris Fields, an Eastern Michigan University professor and expert in Interracial/Interethnic communication along with Lt. Dale Waltz from Canton Response to Hate Crimes Coalition, The Canton Community Choir, and Northridge Church Choral Ensemble.  Tickets are just 
$2 per person (cash only at the door) or a donation of one canned good.  

What? - Fields & Tait - Two Magicians Tell the Truth

You've seen Frank Ferrante on PBS, now see him bring this iconic entertainer to life on stage in this fast-paced 90-minute hilarious show.  Hear Groucho's words come to life, such as:  "The secret to life is honesty and fair dealing.  If you can fake that, you've got it made."   Be there for this very special afternoon of pure entertainment!

Bridal Show Coming to the Summit

Calling all brides-to-be! Get a jump start on planning the wedding day of your dreams by attending "Here Comes the Bride" Bridal show at the Summit on the Park on Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 1-5 p.m.  Get information from a comprehensive network of professional wedding vendors, including Katherine's Catering - the Summit's exclusive caterer - who is currently booking weddings for 2018 & 2019 in the Summit on the Park's Banquet Center. Pheasant Run Golf Club

Are you still shopping around for a great venue to host your golf league this Spring? Summit's Annual Indoor Triathlon
Registration is currently underway for 'Conquer the Summit' Annual Indoor Triathlon, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 18 starting at 7 a.m.  Participants ages 14 and up will complete: 10-minute swimming heat, 30-minute biking heat, and a 20-minute running heat;  all with 10-minute transition times between each event. Swimming will take place in the 25-yard lap pool.  Biking will be held on upright stationary bikes. Running will be done on treadmills. Participants must provide their own swimsuit, swim caps, goggles, biking and running clothing. Join us as a beginner or as a seasoned athlete, we are all there for one common goal! Registration fees are: $38 for Summit Members; $43 for Canton residents; and $48 for non-residents. Find details on available heat times and register online here. Boys Spring Lacrosse Leagues Now Forming

Interested in Lacrosse?  No experience necessary.  Limited spots are still available for the 2018 Spring League in grades 3-4 and 7-8.  Registration fee includes: custom uniform, 10-14 league games, two tournaments, and referee fees. Register by January 8 to guarantee custom sized uniform.  Learn how to play the fastest growing sport in the nation that provides great exercise and improved hand/eye coordination.  New and experienced players are welcome. Participants are required to provide their own equipment; however, a limited  supply equipment is available for rent. Season runs March - May 2018.
