IMPORTANT REMINDER: No Market will be held on Sunday, September 5th. Be sure to stop by the Canton Farmers Market next Sunday, September 12th, any time from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to pick up some healthy back to school lunch and dinner options.

Classes, Programs & Special Community Events

There are plenty of exiting classes, events and activities happening in Canton during September and October.  Visit our Events-At-A-Glance webpage for a complete list of upcoming Fall events including:

Canton's 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 9 a.m. at the Heritage Park Amphitheater, located behind the Canton Administration Building at 1150 S. Canton Center Road.  This ceremony will be led by Canton Supervisor Anne Marie Graham-Hudak, who will also be joined by Canton Elected Officials and Board of Trustee members. In addition, this ceremony will feature the Canton Fire Department Honor Guard, remarks from Canton Public Safety staff, a musical tribute by Devyn Rae, a moment of silence, as well as comments from area organizations whose cultures have seen a recent rise in hate crimes. 

Area residents are invited to attend Canton's Picnic in the Park on Friday, September 24 from 5-9 p.m. in Heritage Park.  Plenty of festive food choices from area restaurants and food trucks, plus live music featuring popular artists on two stages, will be available leading up to the Big Fireworks Extravaganza that is scheduled to begin at dusk.

Tickets are on sale now through September 10 for this final small-plate Community Dinner of the season to benefit Preservation Park. Please note: Tables will again be configured for eight individuals. To be seated at the same table, participants must register together on the same transaction. Seating assignments and priority seating is determined by registration date on a first-come, first-served basis. Beer and wine options will once again be available for purchase onsite.

Food Assistance Programs

Bridge Cards are accepted at the Canton Farmers Market.  Participants may bring their Bridge Card to the Bartlett-Travis House to exchange their SNAP Dollars for Market Tokens, and double the spending on fresh fruits and vegetables with Double Up Food Bucks.

Look for the Market information table and purchase wooden tokens with your Bridge Card and Double Up Food Bucks.

Canton Farmers Market is currently accepting Senior Project FRESH and WIC Project FRESH coupons to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables. For details, stop by the Market information table.
