Chef Ramon at the Canton Farmers Market

Join Us This Sunday To Pick Up All The Fixings for a Great Summer Meal

As Sunday officially marks the first day of summer, the Canton Farmers Market welcomes back Chef Ramon, who will be onsite sharing his farm to table recipes including Salmon Wrapped in Phyllo and Cucumber-Tomato Salad during special cooking demos 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., all using fresh ingredients from the Market. If you're still looking for starter plants, this Sunday will be your last chance to pick up some from Hall’s Herb Garden, so be sure to load up before they're gone.

Bounties of fresh produce are starting to roll in! We know the importance of access to locally grown produce and products and look forward to seeing you each week at Preservation Park. The Canton Farmers Market remains one of the best places to come to explore. Meet your neighbors, family and friends at the Market this Sunday and enjoy local fare and activities including:

We Want To Hear From You

Canton residents are invited to provide input at a series of Open Houses that will be held this summer as a key part of the strategic process of updating Canton Leisure Services Five-Year Master Plan. Good News!  Several of the Open Houses are scheduled to place at the Canton Farmers Market.

Members of the community are invited to submit feedback on:
  • Thursday, August 5, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Thursday Night LIVE Concert in Heritage Park, located behind 1150 S. Canton Center Road
  • Sunday, August 8, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Canton Farmers Market.
Stop by any time during these events. In addition, residents may email any input to leisure@canton-mi.org. The revised Master Plan will ultimately serve as a guide in planning for acquisition, development, and improvements to Canton parks, and trails, as well as Leisure Services facilities, programs, and services over the next five years. Members of the community are invited to submit comments at the Master Plan Open House or online at www.cantonfun.org/130. The development of this new master plan will ensure that Leisure Services continues to be a leader in the leisure industry.

We hope that you'll take a few minutes to share your thoughts and ideas if you're at the Market during one of these scheduled times. For more information, visit www.cantonfun.org/130 or call 734/394-5360.
