The B.L.O.C.K. Youth and Teen Center Relaunches as The B.L.O.C.K. and Beyond this Fall 

 Returning September 21st as a new membership option, families with youth between the ages of 11-17 will be offered a variety of fun, safe, and physically-distanced programming options in exclusively outdoor and virtual formats. The facility will remain closed and there will be no transportation available during session 1. Programs will mirror our traditional offerings from cooking to fitness, tutoring to trivia, and leadership to mental health support. Find all the exciting details here.

Say Cheese! NEW Virtual Yearbook Photo Opportunity!

Reinvent this annual tradition with CLS and Bee Enchanted Photography! Ideal for students on virtual learning tracks. Schedule a session to meet this local photographer at the gazebo in Heritage Park and we’ll provide a professional background for your student’s quick and safely distanced photo session. Afterward, we’ll email you a digital image with no giant expensive packages to buy! Fees are $20 for Resident Child and $25 for Non-Resident Child.

Register for a time-slot on one of the following days/times:
Tuesday, September 22: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday, September 24: 1 to 4 p.m.
Saturday, September 26: 1 to 4 p.m.

Summit on the Park Community Courtyard logo

Introducing the Summit Community Courtyard

The Summit on the Park is excited to welcome you back as we relaunch programming efforts centered in our outdoor campus locations while some of our more traditional spaces remain closed for now. Parking lots will become yoga studios. Tents will become classrooms and parks will become art studios! The campus of the Summit on the Park, located at 46000 Summit Parkway, will begin utilizing the west parking lot, outdoor tents, and patio locations to host a variety of programming while seasons and weather permits. The newly named Summit Community Courtyard will utilize the Canton Live Stage and creative use of other adjacent outdoor spaces to welcome residents back home to the Summit for their recreation and fitness needs. Outdoor Wellness & Fitness Opportunities Continue!

Get out and get moving with Canton Leisure Services outdoor fitness classes! Individuals looking to get active and stay active can choose from a variety of classes including: Yoga, Cardio & Core, Zumba, Plyometric Sculpt, Total Body, Circuit Training, Bootcamp, Cycle, and more! These individual sessions will be held at either the Heritage Park Amphitheater or the Summit Community Courtyard, located in the West Parking Lot. Find complete schedules and details, including safety information, and registration details at: www.cantonfun.org/relaunch.

Workouts Without Walls!
Group Fitness Schedule now available through October 17, 2020. (No classes September 7)

Fees: $5 Resident / $7 Non-Resident

No on-site registration is available for classes. Registration opens 2 weeks before and closes 24 hours prior class. Please note that these classes are not included in Summit on the Park memberships, which are currently frozen.  Sign up today!

Are you an active older adult in need of a good stretch from watching all those Netflix shows? Come try our Outdoor Chair Yoga at the Summit Community Courtyard!

Canton Heritage Park Story Trail

Area residents are encouraged to check out the latest featured story on the Heritage Park Story Trail.  Start your adventure at station #1 of the story trail, located on the park path near the west end of the Canton Public Library.  Presented in partnership with Canton Leisure Services, Canton Public Library and Blue Cross, Blue Shield, the Heritage Park Story Trail consists of a few pages of a feature book posted across seven stations on the half-mile trail.  The latest installation features, "Bikes for Sale," by Carter Higgins.  Find additional details here.

A great way to enjoy September’s cooler weather is to play 9 or 18 holes of golf at one of Canton’s premier outdoor destinations. Pheasant Run Golf Club offers challenging golf at all skill levels at a great price. Youth Lacrosse Player

Fall Boys Lacrosse

Registration for Boys Fall Lacrosse is almost full for all returning players and new players, so reserve your spot today! This fall session will run from September 15 - October 26 at Heritage Park. Players must supply their own equipment. A uniform is included in fees, which are $50 for returning players and $80 for new players.  For additional information, contact the Canton Sports Center at 734/483-5600.
