In response to, and in alignment with, the Governor’s State of Emergency Declaration, Canton Township will be closing the following facilities to the public from 10 p.m. on March 13, through April 5, in an effort to reduce the spread of exposure to COVID-19:
• Canton Township Administration Building
• Summit on the Park
• The Village Theater at Cherry Hill
• Canton Sports Center
• The B.L.O.C.K. Youth & Teen Center
• Pheasant Run Golf Club
• Fellows Creek Golf Club
All critical and emergency services will continue to operate with full staffing. These closures will not affect any Police or Fire services, including 9-1-1. Collection of trash will continue as scheduled.
Water bills can be paid by mail to P.O Box 87680, Canton Michigan, 48188; the drop box located outside the main entrance to the Canton Administration Building, by phone IVR 833-697-1711, and online at www.canton-mi.org/979. However, late fees will not be assessed for March and April water bills as long as full payment is received by Friday, May 29.
The Water Department will not be scheduling appointments, at this time, for non-emergencies such as final reads, meter accuracy tests and noisy meters.
Canton’s Leadership Team will continue to meet daily to monitor and evaluate the situation.
The health and safety of our residents and employees is of the utmost importance to us.
