Canton’s Dog Park members and their pets are encouraged to attend “Howl at the Moon” on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 5 -7 .p.m. at Canton’s off-leash Dog Park, located on Denton Road, north of Cherry Hill Road.
Attendees along with their four-legged friends can enjoy fall activities, a dog Halloween costume contest, as purchase merchandise and receive free give-a-ways from local pet supply and service vendors, while supplies last will be available.
“Events at Canton’s Dog Park are the perfect opportunity for dog owners to meet other local dog owners,” said Recreation Specialist Laura Mortier. “It’s also a great chance to get some great canine information and your four-legged family member can make some friends, too!”
No pre-registration is required for this free event. Dog licensing through the Canton Township Clerk’s Office is required for admission.
The Canton Dog Park has six acres of fenced-in, outdoor space for dogs to run and play off-leash, with specific rules to help insure a safe and positive experience for everyone. The park is divided into a large dog section for animals over 20 pounds, and small dog section for animals under 20 pounds. Annual memberships for the Dog Park are $25 for Canton residents and $50 for non-residents. These yearly membership fees cover up to three dogs per family. All licensed dogs must be at least 4 months old and up-to-date on all required shots.
