Accepted media, include: paintings, etchings, drawings, photography and digital art. Works must be two dimensional and mounted on black poster board that is cut to 16 inches by 20 inches. All entries must be delivered to D&M Art Studio, located at 8691 N. Lilley Road, by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
One middle school winner and one high school winner will be selected for first, second, and third places. Cash prizes will be awarded as follows: $100 for first place; $50 for second place; and $25 for third place. In total, six winners will be recognized at a Canton tribute for Dr. King at The Village Theater on Monday, January 18, 2015. In addition to the winners, other selected submissions will be displayed at The Village Theater from January 1 – February 28, 2016. This annual event is presented by the Canton Commission for Culture, Arts, and Heritage, members of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sub-Committee, and Canton Township.
