[ARCHIVED] Canton Public Safety at Liberty Fest

June 16, 2022, Canton, MI – The Canton Public Safety Department will be on-site of Canton’s Liberty Fest today through Saturday, June 18, 2022.

The fire department will have paramedics available to respond to medical emergencies that may occur in the park, and firefighters will be on stand-by during the fireworks display Friday night.

The police department will have its mobile command post near the north pavilion, to be used as a resource for lost children/parents, as well as for lost and found items.  The department will have officers assisting with traffic during the Canton Liberty Run, and after the fireworks.  Officers will also be patrolling the festival grounds throughout the event, working with Canton’s Leisure Services to ensure a safe and inviting experience for those in attendance.  This year, Leisure Services has established a zero-tolerance approach toward unruly or disruptive behavior, with violators being asked to leave the festival grounds and possibly trespassed by the Canton Police Department.
