[ARCHIVED] The Second City Comedy Troupe Returns To Canton’s Village Theater

A Chicago landmark and National Treasure, The Second City has become the premier training ground for the comedy world's best and brightest. Not only will an evening with The Second City provide audiences with the chance to see comedy stars in the making, but they will also have the opportunity to see absolutely hilarious satire and cutting-edge improvisation. No topic or subject matter is off limits for this talented touring troupe. Whether it’s ripped from this morning’s headlines or a classic gem from their archives, The Second City touring troupe is always a laugh-out-load hit!

“We're glad that The Village Theater is able to bring back The Second City for two years in a row,” said Jennifer Tobin, Canton Arts Coordinator. “Comedy just doesn’t get any more world-class than this.”

The Second City continues to deliver the leading voices in comedy while touring the globe. With scripted and improvisational elements, audiences always enjoy being part of the show and playing along with the next generation of comic legends. Many of comedy's brightest stars have hit the road with The Second City Touring Company, alumni include, Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Amy Poehler, Steve Carell, Bill Murray, Keegan Michael Key and most recently, current Saturday Night Live stars Cecily Strong, Tim Robinson, and Jason Sudeikis.
