[ARCHIVED] Award-Winning Children’s Entertainers Brady Rymer and The Little Band That Could To Perform At Canto

Brady Rymer and The Little Band That Could, one of today’s premier entertainers of children and families in the country, will perform a special kid-friendly show at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton, MI on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 2 p.m.


Audience members of all ages will want see three-time Best Children's Album GRAMMY nominees Brady Rymer and The Little Band That Could in action. Get your whole family groovin’ with some of the best songs ever written for children. Rymer’s rootsy, accordion-laced pop and rock music regularly wins critical acclaim and national awards. Together with his Little Band That Could, Rymer creates rockin’ music for kids and families across the country.


“We are delighted to bring these Grammy-nominated recording artists, who have set the gold standard for writing and performing contemporary children’s music, to Canton,” said Performing Arts Coordinator Joe Kvoriak.  “Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could have created a treasure trove of music for families that has a universal appeal and cuts across generations and backgrounds.” 


Known for his Funky Rock 'n' Roll, Family Style of music, Rymer has toured and recorded with RCA roots-rock band From Good Homes for thirteen years, sharing the stage with the likes of Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews and the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, before parenthood expanded the scope of his music to include young and old alike. Since then, he’s forged a career with Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could – they “might just be the best-sounding band in children’s music,” according to NPR’s All Things Considered – releasing eight acclaimed albums - three of them GRAMMY nominated - and bringing energetic, rockin’ live music to kids and families across the country.


Rymer has also been involved in a compilation of songs produced by Hip Hop Public Health for First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign. In addition, he has worked with and performed for kids with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and related disorders, and he is a featured performer and composer for ASHA's Listen To Your Buds Campaign, a hearing health public education campaign to provide parents and children with information about safe usage of personal audio technology. Rymer also serves on the Education Board of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the region's musical heritage.
